Finding The Best Slidell Chiropractor

Favorite Clip – “I remember when Rob started his practice… He had all those great titles… National Board Certified Chiropractor, Oriental Medicine Specialist, and best of all, National Board Certified Sports Chiropractor.” Sounds like a big claim to make, doesn’t it? However, there is much to this story. It is important that readers consider the fact that while the title may be new, the practice itself is not. There have been many chiropractors called Robinsons.

A careful examination of the practices of Robinsons’ and similar chiropractor businesses should give any reader pause. From the title, Robinsons is a doctor specializing in sports chiropractics. While this is certainly an appropriate field for a chiropractor, it does not advance a patient to a level of sophistication that would make him or her a world class expert. In fact, chiropractors are often times referred to as sports chiropractor, as they are often times called upon to treat athletes who have injury related to training and other activities. Even with an emphasis on sports related injuries, Robinsons practice falls short of world class.

So, how does one distinguish the best from an average or below average practitioner? Well, a good chiropractor is thorough. The best ones maintain detailed patient files and keep up with regular updates on the progress of their patients. They also employ other healthcare professionals such as physical therapists, audilitasists and orthopedic surgeons when needed.

It should go without saying that the best chiropractor in a city will be able to match your needs to the appropriate adjustments. Do some research to see what adjustments are most appropriate for your symptoms. You should also ask your chiropractor what equipment is required and what licensing information he or she must meet. Chances are, if you ask these questions beforehand, you will save yourself quite a bit of hassle and the possibility of long wait times. Most chiropractor’s offices are staffed by highly qualified and experienced physicians and staff members.

The final thing you should be concerned with is the office environment. Does it look clean? Are the people friendly? A good chiropractor will be neat and organized, while simultaneously maintaining a very relaxed atmosphere.

As you can see, it really does not matter how much schooling a chiropractor has. It does not matter whether he or she goes to an actual medical school, or if he or she just graduated from a Community College. What matters most is how well he or she listens, treats patients, cares for their needs, and puts them first. You want a person who is honest, dedicated and reliable. The best Slidell chiropractor will have all of those traits, and perhaps even more.
